Trump Got Electoral Vote In Maine

President Donald Trump got one of Maine’s four electoral votes on Monday.

Former vice president Joe Biden took three of the four electoral votes. Biden got two for winning the popular vote statewide and another for winning the state’s First Congressional District in southern Maine.

Trump got the other electoral vote for winning the state’s Second Congressional District, which covers central and northern Maine.

Maine and Nebraska are the two states in the country that split their electoral votes in part based on their congressional districts.

It marked the second straight election where Trump won the northern and central Maine district. It is the second most rural district in the country, and one of the whitest.
