United Cape Patriots To Rally To Re-Open Cape Cod, Support Jay McMahon on Saturday, May 16

For the fifth weekend in a row United Cape Patriots are planning to have a standout to support the Re-Open Cape Cod campaign.

Participants also plan to stump for Jay McMahon, a Republican lawyer who is running for an open Massachusetts Senate seat in the special election scheduled for Tuesday, May 19. (The Democratic nominee is Falmouth selectman Susan Moran.)

Rally-goers are also encouraged to bring American flags and signs supporting President Donald Trump.

“Both these GOP leaders have common-sense plans help our economy recover,” organizers of the standout said in a written statement.

Rally-goers are encouraged to follow “all state safety guidelines for outside gatherings,” according to the statement.

The standout is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 16 at the Bourne Rotary, near the Dunkin’s Donuts parking lot on the Cape side of the canal.
