Vermont Goes A Month Without A Coronavirus Death

July 20, 2020

State officials reported that there haven’t been any coronavirus deaths in the state for 30 days straight. There hasn’t been a reported coronavirus death in the Green Mountain State since June 16, as Boston 25 reports. That’s the longest streak of any state in the country.

In Vermont, there have been about been nine coronavirus deaths per 100,000 people; that’s a far lower rate than in bordering states like New Hampshire (29 per 100,000), Massachusetts (122 per 100,000), and New York (165 per 100,000).

Vermont had a stay-at-home order issued in the state from March 25 to May 15.
