Vermont Governor Phil Scott Now The Most Popular Governor In America

The most popular governor in America is a Republican from New England, according to the latest Morning Consult poll.

Vermont Governor Phil Scott topped the list in terms of approval ratings; 81 percent of Vermonters approved of the liberal Republican in a poll released last week. Just 14 percent of Vermonters disapproved of Scott, according to the same poll.

Scott had no problem winning re-election this past November. He blew out his Democratic opponent Brenda Siegel 71.3 percent to 24.1 percent, despite Vermont’s reputation as one of the most liberal states in the union.

The poll is based on the governor’s approval rating in the fourth quarter of 2022.
