Vermont To Distribute 350,000 Free Coronavirus Rapid Tests Ordered Online

January 13, 2022

Vermont allowed people to order free coronavirus rapid tests online on Wednesday, January 12.

It didn’t take long for state officials to run out of tests.

The state had a pilot program called “Say Yes! Covid Test” that allowed people to get free at-home rapid antigen tests.

The result?

It took a little less than five hours for the state to run out of these free tests.

The governor’s press secretary, Jason Maulucci, told WCAX that it was good to see people get their hands on the tests.

“The pilot is going to be a good learning opportunity … thanks and we’ll share this info with the White House and our federal partners to see how the delivery process works,” he said.
