Woman Knocks Trump Hat Off Man’s Head in Restaurant, Police Say

A 41-year-old woman verbally abused a man wearing a Make America Great Again hat in a Mexican restaurant in Falmouth and then knocked it off his head, police said.

The man told police he was minding his own business around 8 p.m. Friday, February 15 when the woman started bothering him and he pulled out a cell phone to record a video of her behavior, according to the Cape Cod Times, which cited a police report.

The woman pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and battery and disorderly conduct in Falmouth District Court on Wednesday, February 20, according to the Cape Cod Times, which reported the incident Wednesday night.

It was the first of two Trump-related altercations in the Cape Cod town this past weekend (although the second to be reported in the media). On Monday, February 18, a Mashpee man driving a pickup truck with a plow sprayed anti-Trump protesters on Falmouth Village Green with snow, ice, and water from the street twice, police said.
