Biden: I Would Have ‘Beat the Hell Out of’ Trump

March 21, 2018

Former Vice President Joe Biden said he would have “beat the hell out of” Donald Trump in high school for disrespecting women.

Biden, speaking at an anti-sexual-assault rally at the University of Miami on Tuesday, referred to Trump’s off-air lewd remarks about women on an Access Hollywood tape from 2005 that surfaced shortly before the presidential election in 2016.

“They asked me if I’d like to debate this gentleman, and I said ‘no.’ I said, ‘If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him’,” Biden told the crowd, according to ABC News.

Biden, 75, graduated from Archer Academy, a Catholic high school in Claymont, Delaware run by the Norbertine order, in 1961. He stands 6 feet tall.

Trump, 71, graduated from New York Military Academy in Cornwall, New York. He stands 6 feet 3 inches tall.

Biden also said on Tuesday that women need to arm themselves with information and a plan in case they are assaulted.

“It’s not just on the men. It’s on you women, as well, on campus,” Biden said, according to ABC News. “All the studies show that 95 percent of young women who are abused — the first person they tell is their roommate, their friend, someone on campus. You’ve got to inform yourself as to what facilities are available, what help is available, not just empathize, hug and say, ‘I’m so sorry.’ You have an obligation to be informed.”
