My 5th grade English teacher once told me, “Tamara Starr, you are such a nosey little girl… You should be a reporter since you can’t stop asking questions.” And she was right… In fact, I have over 15 years of experience working in radio, television and online media. I grew up in Staten Island, N.Y. and it has been exciting to watch New York City change over the last 30 years. But since marrying a Bostonian and moving to Massachusetts in 2008, I have come to love Boston as my new home. As someone who loves history, I enjoy living in the place where our country was “born” and where landmark after landmark reminds me of events leading up to the American Revolution. I also find inspiration from Boston’s thriving arts scene. In the last 10 years alone, Boston’s cultural offerings have grown exponentially. Boston is home to not only the Boston Pops Orchestra but also to Earthfest and a growing number of music and arts festivals such as Boston Calling. I am thrilled to call Boston my new “home,” and I am ready to show you the arts and culture side of Beantown. [email protected]
