The FBI discovered emails relevant to their investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server on a device belonging to Anthony Weiner or Huma Abedin, a law enforcement official told the New York Times.

FBI director James Comey said Friday that an “unrelated” investigation uncovered emails relevant to the case involving Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
The FBI is investigating former Congressman Anthony Weiner for possibly sexting with a 15-year-old girl.
“In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation,” FBI director James Comey wrote in an letter to members of Congress.
“I am writing to inform you that the investigative team briefed me on this yesterday, and I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation.”
