Saying goodbye

Dear friends,

As many of you already know, today is my last official day with NewBostonPost. When I agreed to help launch the site in July 2015, I committed to stay through the presidential election of 2016. My goal was to establish NBP’s reputation as a credible, conservative website for New England and then step aside in order to let someone else expand the site’s reach and market potential.

Helping to create a new public space for conservative voices has been both challenging and highly rewarding. It was wonderful working with so many committed and energetic writers, and I am proud of our many accomplishments over the past 18 months — particularly our coverage of the New England delegation, our lively and thought-provoking Opinion page, and our Profiles of New England notables and unsung heroes.

Now the time has come to pass the baton to a new Editor-in-Chief, someone with the vision and energy to take NBP into the next phase. That person is Matt McDonald. Matt comes to us with both journalism and business experience. Educated at Roxbury Latin and Harvard College, Matt has written for a number of papers, including the Boston Globe, and founded and managed a community newspaper as well. I am looking forward to seeing where Matt takes NBP in the years to come. Matt can be reached at: [email protected]. Please join me in extending a virtual hand to welcome him aboard.

Going forward, I can be reached at: [email protected]. I hope you will stay in touch.

All the best for a blessed holiday season and a happy and healthy 2017,

Jennifer C. Braceras
