Trump has addressed the rally by video hookup in the past, as have some other Republican presidents. But to date Vice President Mike Pence is the highest-ranking federal official to attend.
The March for Life typically draws several hundred thousand people.
It commemorates the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide.
Mainstream media reports typically downplay the march, but Trump’s expected presence may draw unprecedented national coverage.
Trump has proven the most committed anti-abortion president in history.
