Former Boston Red Sox second baseman Mark Loretta has a new job.
Loretta was hired by the San Diego Padres as a special assistant to chief executive officer Erik Greupner, according to MLB Trade Rumors. Loretta was the bench coach for the Chicago Cubs in 2019.
