2004 World Series Champ Johnny Damon Arrested For DUI

Former Boston Red Sox outfielder Johnny Damon was arrested on Friday morning for suspicion of drunk driving, as ABC News reports.

Damon took a breathalyzer test and his blood-alcohol content was between .294 and .30, according to police. The state’s legal limit is 0.08.

Damon was also charged with resisting an officer without arrest. Damon’s wife, Michelle, is also facing arrest for battery on an officer.

Damon played for the Red Sox from 2002 to 2005 and was the starting center fielder on the 2004 World Series championship team. He then signed with the New York Yankees and helped them win a World Series in 2009. His big league career spanned from 1995 to 2012.
