American Legion Baseball Cancelled in Several States for Summer

May 15, 2020

There will be no American Legion Baseball season in New Hampshire this summer — or Maine or Massachusetts.

As the Concord Monitor reports, the New Hampshire league’s officials made the call this past weekend after finding out that there would be no regional or national tournaments at the conclusion of the regular seasons.

And the Bay State followed suit, as The Sun Chronicle of Attleboro reported, making the decision on Tuesday this week. The same can be said for Maine, according to Bangor Daily News, where baseball officials reportedly cancelled theirs on Monday.

This makes New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts American Legion Baseball the second, third, and fourth New England states to cancel for the summer; Vermont was the first, making he decision back in April.

Connecticut’s affiliate cancelled the season Wednesday, according to the New Haven Register.
