Ayanna Pressley Announces She’s Seeking Re-Election To Congress

April 4, 2024

U.S. Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-Hyde Park) formally announced this week that she’s seeking re-election.

“It is a deep honor to represent the bold, diverse, brilliant residents of the Massachusetts 7th in Washington,” Pressley said in a press release from her office. “Working together over the past five years, we’ve fought for policies of consequence to our district, from abortion access and reproductive freedom, to student loan cancellation and housing justice. And we’ve delivered essential federal resources for the communities we call home – more than $35 million in funding to support community health centers, vital transit projects, workforce training, climate justice, and more.”

Pressley has represented the state’s Seventh Congressional District since 2019; it’s the state’s lone majority-minority district and includes parts of Boston and neighboring communities that include Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Milton, Randolph, and Somerville.
