Barack Obama Uninvites Many People To His Martha’s Vineyard Birthday Party

August 5, 2021

Will former President Barack Obama have a birthday party with close to 500 people on Martha’s Vineyard this weekend?

That was the plan, but it no longer appears to be the case. Now, Obama, who turned 60 on Wednesday, August 4, plans to have a birthday party with family and close friends, as CNN reports.

“This outdoor event was planned months ago in accordance with all public health guidelines and with covid safeguards in place,” Hannah Hankins, a spokesman for Obama, told CNN. “Due to the new spread of the delta variant over the past week, the President and Mrs. Obama have decided to significantly scale back the event to include only family and close friends.”

It’s unclear how many people will be at the party now.
