Bernie Sanders Receives Significant Support In Rhode Island Presidential Primary

President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden are the only two major candidates left in the 2020 presidential election, but Rhode Island held its primary election on Tuesday anyways.
As WPRI-TV Channel 12 reports, the two presumptive nominees won the state overwhelmingly, but Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders still received strong support on the Democratic side. Sanders pulled in 30 percent of the vote, despite not being in the race. Biden got 62 percent and picked up six delegates as a result of the win.
For the Republicans, Trump got more than 94 percent of the vote. Former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld came in second with 3 percent of the vote.
