Bernie Sanders Unhappy With Lack Of Progress In Congress

February 11, 2022

U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) isn’t happy with the way things are going on Capitol Hill right now.

Sanders thinks the Democratic Party hasn’t gotten enough done in the past nearly 13 months of having majorities in the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.

“I think people are very impatient and not happy with where we are right now,” Sanders told reporters on Wednesday, February 9. “It’s not just members of the Senate.”

He added:  “We started off with a strong agenda that was very popular, and people responded to the president’s leadership. What we’re doing here in Congress, I think, it’s no great secret that for five months, with the exception of the infrastructure, we have not been addressing the needs of the American people.”
