Bertucci’s Shuts Down Woburn Location

There is one less Bertucci’s in Massachusetts now.

The Woburn location of the casual Italian restaurant chain on Commerce Way shut its doors on Thursday, September 22.

“Bertucci’s will continue to operate 25 other locations in Massachusetts, including a Reading location that is slightly north of the Woburn location,” Bertucci’s told CBS Boston.

Employees from the Woburn location were offered a job at the Bertucci’s restaurants in Reading, Lexington, and Peabody.

A Northborough-based restaurant chain, Bertucci’s got its start in Massachusetts; its first location opened in David Square in Somerville in 1981, according to the company.
