Billerica Public Library To Fly Pro-Life Flag

September 13, 2023

The Billerica Board of Selectmen voted 4-1 on Tuesday to allow a pro-life flag to be flown at the Billerica Public Library for two weeks in October in recognition of Pro-Life Month.

DeeDee Dorrington, one of the residents who led the push to get the flag flown, told The Lowell Sun she wanted to bring “positive recognition” to the pro-life movement.

“Trying to get a community to adopt one thought or belief surrounding this topic should not be the goal, but rather the goal is for the pro-life community to be awarded the opportunity to feel welcome here, in Billerica, Massachusetts,” she said. “Flying this particular flag can help accomplish this.”

The flag is scheduled to fly at the library from Monday, October 16 through Tuesday, October 31.
