Billionaire Tom Steyer Endorses Ed Markey For Senate

Tom Steyer won’t be elected president of the United States this year, but he hopes to see Ed Markey re-elected to the U.S. Senate.

The billionaire Steyer endorsed the Malden Democrat this week. Markey is running against U.S. Representative Joseph P. Kennedy III in the race.

“For the last several decades, Ed’s been leading the fight in Congress to tackle our climate crisis while too many politicians on both sides of the aisle have sat on the sidelines,” Steyer told The Hill.  

Steyer, a major Democratic donor who ran for president as a Democrat this cycle, did not win any states. He dropped out before Super Tuesday.
