Boston Mayor Michelle Wu Says She Won’t Tweet Anymore

Michelle Wu said that she is not going to tweet anything on Twitter anymore.

The mayor of Boston complained that people are too mean to her on the social media site.

“I’ve experienced this platform becoming more and more toxic over the last year, and it’s a direction that makes it a less productive use of my personal time to reach constituents about local issues,” Wu told Commonwealth Magazine in a recent interview.

Wu still retweets other people’s tweets but has not issued a tweet herself since Friday, January 6, 2023.

Wu has more than 150,000 followers on her personal Twitter account @WuTrain.
