Charlie Baker Fund Raiser Drew Democrats and Republicans

September 7, 2021

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker attended a fund raiser in Mashpee last week that drew prominent guests from both sides of the political aisle.

Former Boston mayor Raymond Flynn, a pro-life Democrat who served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See under President Bill Clinton, and former Boston Police Department commissioner William Gross, another Democrat, were among the attendees. On the Republican side, Plymouth resident Jesse Brown, a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in the state’s Ninth Congressional District, was also in attendance.

Most of the attendees of the fund raiser donated somewhere between $500 to $1,000 apiece, according to Politico.
