Charlie Baker Says Boston Must Crack Down On Drug Dealers

December 2, 2022

How should Boston go about solving its Methadone Mile problem?

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker thinks that cracking down on drug dealers is one way to mitigate the tent city located on Melnea Cass Boulevard and Massachusetts Avenue in the Roxbury section of Boston.

“The one thing we can’t do much about are some of the issues around dealers,” Baker said, according to The Boston Herald. “That’s a city responsibility. As long as you have dealers who feel like they can do their business in an open-air market in downtown Boston it’s going to be hard for us to get as far as we need to get to deal with this.”
