Charlie Baker Says To Enjoy Thanksgiving

November 23, 2021

Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker isn’t telling people to worry about Thanksgiving this year.

Instead, he thinks people should be able to enjoy a regular Thanksgiving amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“It’s still a big opportunity for us to get back to what I would describe as something that will feel more like a traditional holiday,” Baker told reporters this week, according to WBUR.

In the Commonwealth, 84.7 percent of the population has had at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine while 70.8 percent of the state is fully vaccinated.

The rate is far higher than the national average; 59.2 percent of Americans are fully vaccinated against the virus.
