Charlie Baker Scored A Touchdown In North Quincy’s Season Opener

The North Quincy High football team had no problem taking down the Somerville Highlanders in their home opener — and Charlie Baker got plenty of playing time.

The Raiders won their home opener 48-6 on Friday, September 10. Since North Quincy’s starters were dominant, they started putting their backups into the game in the second quarter. That included the team’s second offense led by sophomore quarterback Charlie Baker, who has the same name as the governor of Massachusetts.

The Raiders kept the ball on the ground with Baker in the game; they only attempted one pass all game. However, Baker scored a touchdown on a one-yard QB sneak, as a NewBostonPost reporter who watched the game saw. He also had an eight-yard pickup on a QB sneak earlier in the game.
