Deval Patrick Drops Out of Presidential Race

Former Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick has suspended his campaign for president after failing to connect with voters in Iowa or New Hampshire or anywhere else.
The late-starting quixotic campaign came to a halt after Patrick got less than one-half of 1 percent in the New Hampshire Democratic primary on Tuesday, February 11.
Patrick was hoping to occupy centrist ground in the race, but that real estate got taken up by Pete Buttagieg and Amy Klobuchar.
Patrick released a statement on Twitter in the early afternoon of Wednesday, February 12:
We can’t miss this moment— because failing to engage risks losing a whole lot more than an election in November. Today, we’re suspending our campaign, but not giving up the fight. Read my full statement: pic.twitter.com/wTiNZ8g7xH
