Deval Patrick Joins Twilio Board of Directors

January 15, 2021

Former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick has a new part-time job.

Patrick, a Democrat, will serve on the board of directors for the publicly traded company Twilio.

“Deval is an impressive leader with broad business, finance, public policy and social impact acumen from decades of experience as a public servant and business leader at some of the world’s top companies,” Twilio ECO Jeff Lawson said in a press release. “He brings a unique skill set that will be extremely valuable to Twilio as we grow around the world.”

The company “offers developers a powerful API (Application programming interface) for phone services to make and receive phone calls, and send and receive text messages,” according to Stack Share.

Patrick was a contender to become U.S. Attorney General in the incoming Biden administration, but didn’t get the nod.
