Dianna Ploss Dropped From WSMN After Confronting Landscapers For Speaking Spanish

July 15, 2020

Dianna Ploss is no longer on WSMN AM 1590 radio in southern New Hampshire.

The staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, who hosted The Dianna Ploss Show, was let go from the station this week after recording herself getting into a verbal confrontation with Hispanic landscapers. Ploss went up to the workers and confronted them for speaking Spanish.

“It’s America, you should be speaking English,” Ploss told the landscapers. “Is anybody here illegal? Are these guys illegal?”

Now, she is no longer with the company, as CNN reports.

“We at WSMN value freedom of speech, freedom of expression and assembly. We will not tolerate discrimination, racism or hatred,” the radio station said in a statement. “We continue to present and offer on air opportunities for discussion, education and the exchange of opinions and ideas.”

Ploss has defended her actions and denied that they are motivated by racism.

“So, if you want people in America to speak English, that makes you a ‘racist,’ ” Ploss said in a written statement on her Facebook page:
