Doug Burgum Drops Out Of GOP Presidential Race, Will Still Appear On New Hampshire Primary Ballot

December 5, 2023

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum dropped out of the Republican presidential primary, but he will still be on the ballot in the New Hampshire primary next month.

“Our decision to run for President came from a place of caring deeply about every American and a mission to re-establish trust in America’s leadership and our institutions of democracy,” Burgum said in a written statement. “While this primary process has shaken my trust in many media organizations and political party institutions, it has only strengthened my trust in America.”

Since Burgum filed to be on the New Hampshire primary ballot next month, which has already been finalized, his name will remain on the ballot, according to Citizens Count.

The New Hampshire primary is set for January 23, 2024.
