Ed Markey Endorses Diana DiZoglio For Massachusetts State Auditor

U.S. Senator Ed Markey (D-Malden) is going with the Democrat in the race for Massachusetts state auditor.

Markey endorsed state Senator Diana DiZoglio (D-Methuen) on Friday, September 30.

“From expanding access to affordable health care, to defending reproductive freedom and gender equity, to protecting families and workers, she is committed to the solutions for the challenges that Massachusetts families face,” Markey said, according to Politico.

Markey did not endorse a candidate in the Democratic primary, which was contested.

DiZoglio is running against Republican candidate Anthony Amore, who was the party’s nominee for Secretary of the Commonwealth in 2018.

Incumbent Democrat Suzanne Bump, who was first elected in 2010, isn’t seeking another term.
