Fan Removed From Fenway Park For Displaying ‘Trump Won’ Banner

June 8, 2021

The Boston Red Sox beat the Miami Marlins 5-3 on Monday, but something that happened in the stands has drawn plenty of attention.

During the fourth inning of the game, a fan in centerfield unveiled a sign that said, “Trump Won, Save America,” referring to the 2020 presidential election. The fan was then removed from the ballpark, as MassLive points out.

It’s not the first time someone has been ejected from Fenway Park for a political banner. Back in 2017, four attendees of a Red Sox game were removed for displaying a banner that read:  “Racism is as American as baseball.”
