Former Trump Spokesman To Run For Congress In New Hampshire

July 21, 2021

Karoline Leavitt served in former President Donald Trump’s administration as an assistant press secretary under Kayleigh McEnany.

Now the 23-year-old is running for Congress in New Hampshire’s First District.

She also served as a spokesman for House GOP Conference chairman Elise Stefanik (R-New York).

While New Hampshire is a tossup state, Leavitt said the two U.S. representatives and two U.S. senators (all Democrats) lean heavily left.

“The people of New Hampshire recognize this and they want to send a conservative fighter to Washington,” Leavitt told FOX News. “I am going to be a conservative firewall between the radical craziness in D.C. and the ‘Live free or Die’ state that allowed my family to achieve the American Dream.”

Democrat Chris Pappas represents the district. The last time a Republican won the seat was 2014.
