Gas Prices At An All-Time High In Massachusetts, Breaking Yesterday’s Record

This is the most expensive a gallon of gasoline has ever been in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

As of Tuesday, May 17, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.656. It beats the record set yesterday, according to AAA, Monday, May 16 ($4.602).

Gas prices continue to rise; the average price is up 23 cents per gallon from where it was at this time one week ago ($4.427).

Typically, Nantucket is the most expensive place In Massachusetts for a gallon of gas, but at the moment that’s not the case. While the average there is $5.566 per gallon, in Martha’s Vineyard it’s even more expensive ($5.862).
