Harvard Professor Danielle Allen Considering Run for Governor of Massachusetts As A Democrat

At least two Democrats want to run for governor in Massachusetts in 2022.

The latest name to surface is Danielle Allen, the director of Harvard’s Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics. Allen formed an exploratory committee with the state’s Office of Campaign and Political Finance on Monday.

“It’s time to lay a new and fair foundation for #OurCommonwealth,” she wrote on Monday, December 14, according to The Harvard Crimson. “With the right infrastructure beneath our feet, we can create a brighter future together. That’s why I’m exploring a run for Governor of Massachusetts.”

Additionally, on Friday, December 11, Quincy resident Scott Khourie filed with the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance.
