Jake Auchincloss Announces 18 Endorsements For 2022

U.S. Representative Jake Auchincloss (D-Newton) wants to make sure he doesn’t get primaried in 2022.
Auchincloss won a nine-way Democratic primary in the state’s Fourth Congressional District last year with about 22 percent of the vote. Auchincloss is taking many steps to prevent being primaried next year as a result, as Politico reports.
One of those steps was announcing a list on Friday of 18 Democrats in the Massachusetts Legislature who support re-electing him. Auchincloss sent the list of endorsements to his email list; the most notable name on the list is the president of the Massachusetts Senate, Karen Spilka (D-Ashland); she is often described as a progressive Democrat.
