Jane Swift Says Both Major Parties Should Nominate Younger Presidential Candidates

September 18, 2023

Former Massachusetts governor Jane Swift says she does not want to see a rematch of the 2020 presidential election.

Instead, the moderate Republican wants to see both parties nominate different candidates.

Specifically, she thinks both parties should nominate younger candidates.

“Both parties have lost their minds,” Swift told WCVB’s On The Record on Sunday, September 17. “Once you hit 70, I don’t think you should be able to run for office again.”

President Joe Biden is 80 years old and former president Donald Trump is 77.

New to NewBostonPost? Conservative media is hard to find in Massachusetts. But you’ve found it. Now dip your toe in the water for two bucks — $2 for two months. And join the real revolution.
