Jim McGovern Thinks Joe Biden Might Not Be Democratic Party’s Presidential Nominee

U.S. Representative Jim McGovern (D-Worcester) says he thinks it’s possible that President Joe Biden won’t be his party’s presidential nominee.

McGovern made this claim amid growing concerns about the sitting president’s cognitive ability — a national conversation that has received immense attention since Biden’s tumultuous June 27 CNN debate against former President Donald Trump

“It seems to me that there are indications that President Biden may decide to forgo the nomination. I don’t know that for certain,” McGovern said, according to Politico. “But that appears to be the direction all the chatter is moving in.”

McGovern has not called on Biden to step aside as the Democratic nominee.
