Joe Biden Has A 48 Percent Approval Rating In Massachusetts

Massachusetts is one of the most liberal states in the country, but that doesn’t mean President Joe Biden is popular here.

Bay Staters were divided on Biden in a poll released by UMass Amherst this week. In it, 48 percent of Massachusetts residents approved of the sitting president, while 48 percent disapproved.

Biden’s approval rating in Massachusetts has gradually declined, the poll notes. It shows that in October 2023, for example, 53 percent of Bay Staters approved of Biden, while 45 percent disapproved.

That’s still far better than his national approval rating. Nationally, 37.6 percent of Americans approve of Biden, while 56.5 percent disapprove, according to FiveThirtyEight.
