Joe Biden Wants To More Than Double New Hampshire’s Minimum Wage

President-elect Joe Biden is calling for a $15 minimum wage at the federal level, which would take effect nationwide.
For the state of New Hampshire, that would represent a major jump in the wage.
New Hampshire has had a $7.25 minimum wage since 2009, but if Biden has it his way, that would change. That’s because he has stated that he wants to see a provision to raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour included in the next coronavirus stimulus bill, as Yahoo points out.
In 2019, the Congressional Budget Office released a report on the impact of raising the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2025. It showed that it would raise hourly wages for 17 million American workers, but would eliminate 1.3 million jobs.
