Kamala Harris Still Developing Policy Platform, Bernie Sanders Says

Kamala Harris has been vice president for three-and-a-half years, but she’s still working through her policy platform for the presidential election that is about two months away, according to U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont).

Sanders said that Harris is doing a good job and defended her lack of a presidential platform.

“I think, in all fairness to the vice president, she’s been the candidate for all of one month. And it’s been a hell of a month,” Sanders told ABC News. “You have to organize the convention, select a vice presidential campaign, get out on the campaign trail. So, they are still working through their policies.”

Harris unsuccessfully sought the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 2020 but has since abandoned many of the positions she ran on during that campaign.
