Karoline Leavitt Loses U.S. House Race In New Hampshire

November 9, 2022

Karoline Leavitt didn’t make history last night.

The 25-year-old New Hampshire Republican would have been the youngest woman ever elected to Congress in American history had she won her race last night. However, that did not happen.

Leavitt lost her race to the incumbent Democrat, Chris Pappas.

Leavitt trailed Pappas 55 percent to 45 percent with 60 percent of the vote counted, according to The New York Times.

This will be the third term in the U.S. House for Pappas. He was first elected in 2018; he also won re-election in 2020.

Leavitt served as the White House assistant press secretary from May 2020 to January 2021 when Donald Trump was president, according to her LinkedIn page.
