Marshfield Native David Warsofsky Earns Spot In 2022 Olympics For Team USA Men’s Hockey

January 14, 2022

There is a Marshfield connection to the Olympics this year. Team USA announced its 2022 Winter Olympics men’s hockey roster on Thursday, January 13.

One of the defensemen included on the roster was Marshfield native and former Boston Bruin David Warsofsky, according to NBC Sports Boston.

Warsofsky no longer plays in the National Hockey League; he plays for the ERC Ingolstadt of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (Germany).

He played in 55 NHL games from the 2013-2014 season to the 2017-2018 season. In addition to the Bruins, he spent time with the Pittsburgh Penguins, New Jersey Devils, and Colorado Avalanche.

No active NHL players will compete in the Olympics this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
