Marty Walsh Applauds Joe Biden Nominating Pete Buttigieg For Cabinet Position

Joe Biden wants Mayor Pete to be his Secretary of Transportation.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh also supports the move.

Walsh offered praise for the decision to put former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg in the role.

“.@PeteButtigieg is a strong choice for Secretary of Transportation in the Biden-Harris Administration,” Walsh tweeted. “A former mayor and fellow member of @usmayors, he will be a champion for communities across America in achieving modern, resilient, sustainable infrastructure.”

Buttigieg ran for president in the Democratic primary and despite winning the Iowa caucuses, he dropped out before Super Tuesday and endorsed Biden.
