Marty Walsh Interested In Running For Governor of Massachusetts

December 3, 2021

The former mayor of Boston is thinking about coming back to Massachusetts to make a run for governor.

Marty Walsh, currently the U.S. Labor Secretary under President Joe Biden, has told acquaintances that he is interested in running, according to Politico.

If he were to run, Walsh would start off with a major financial edge over some of his opponents. He has $5.1 million in his campaign account still, as Politico reports. It’s even higher than the amount of money that Massachusetts attorney general Maura Healey has in her account:  $3.3 million.

Additionally, Walsh’s chief of staff, Dan Koh, is interested in running for lieutenant governor. Some suggest the two might campaign as informal running mates.

New to NewBostonPost?  Conservative media is hard to find in Massachusetts.  But you’ve found it.  Now dip your toe in the water for two bucks — $2 for two months.  And join the real revolution.
