Massachusetts Gas Prices Keep Falling

Gas prices are getting cheaper in Massachusetts.

The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Massachusetts is down 2 cents per gallon in the past week, according to AAA Northeast. It is now averaging $3.45 per gallon — an 11-cent drop over the past month.

"It's not typical for prices to be decreasing at the beginning of what's expected to be a robust summer driving season, but supply continues to outpace demand and oil prices have remained mostly steady for weeks," said Mark Schieldrop, senior spokesman for AAA Northeast, in a press release from the organization. "To find out if the surge in demand we've come to expect every summer is a thing of the past, we might have to wait until autumn."
