Massachusetts Gas Prices Keep Rising

March 25, 2024

Gas prices continue to rise in Massachusetts.

The average gas price has gone up five cents per gallon in the past week, from $3.25 to $3.30, according to AAA.

“Like seasonal temperatures, gasoline prices tend to rise with the arrival of spring,” said Mark Schieldrop, senior spokesman for AAA Northeast,in a press release from the organization. “Northeast prices are lower than the national average thanks to more robust inventories of gasoline in our region, but the difference could narrow in the coming weeks if inventories keep tightening.”

The report also states that gas prices are expected to keep rising in Massachusetts this spring.
