Massachusetts Plans To Close Down Mass-Vaccination Sites In Coming Weeks

June 4, 2021

Mass-coronavirus-vaccination sites will soon be a thing of the past in Massachusetts.

Over the next five weeks, the state plans to close down some of its bigger vaccination sites, switching to community-based vaccination clinics instead, as WCVB reports.

The state plans to close the following clinics on the following dates:

  • Gillette Stadium: June 14

  • Hynes Convention Center: June 22

  • Natick Mall: June 23

  • Reggie Lewis Center: June 27

  • Doubletree in Danvers: June 30

  • Eastfield Mall in Springfield: July 6

  • Former Circuit City in Dartmouth: July 13

While there are more than 900 vaccination locations throughout the state, those mass-vaccination sites have administered more than 1.7 million vaccine doses.
