Massachusetts Wants Schools Operating 100 Percent In-Person By May 17

April 29, 2021

The stateof Elementary and Secondary Education says that school districts in Massachusetts should have all of their students back in the classroom for full-time in person learning by Monday, May 17, as CBS Boston reported earlier this week.

So far, 146 school districts have kindergarten through 12th grade doing this already. Meanwhile, 198 districts — about two-thirds of the school districts in the state — plan to follow suit by that benchmark date.

“Districts and schools should make every effort to have high school students with significant and complex disabilities or high school students who are English learners return to full-time, in-person learning prior to the deadline,” the state education department added, according to CBS Boston.
