Michelle Wu Says No Negative Attacks From Super PACs in Boston Mayoral Race

September 23, 2021

Boston city councilor Michelle Wu doesn’t have a problem with independent political action committees taking sides in the city’s mayoral race.

She just has one request for them:  stay positive.

“I urge any outside groups to refrain from negative attacks,” Wu said, according to The Dorchester Reporter. “We’ve seen in this country over the last four years what happens when those kinds of attacks are normalized in politics and Boston’s better than that. I look forward to a robust, direct conversation about the future of this city directly with the residents.”

There are so-called Super PACs supporting both Wu and fellow Boston city councilor Annissa Essaibi George in the race.
